St Kitts and Nevis

I have the opportunity to invest in real estate in the Caribbean:  does anyone know anything about St Kitts and Nevis? It's investing $250,000 but it allows the use of the villa, 4 passports, no income tax or capital gains.  It's only a thought, as it looks appealing. No bashing, please.

Investing in yachts

I was just at the Southampton Boat Show and someone suggested I buy a share in a yacht.  It was a quarter share and you had it for a certain time annually. The company would take  care of the maintenance etc dry docking if necessary blah blah but you had the usage along with 3 other investors.  Would like to hear any experience?

Whisky

I have heard that fine Whisky is a good investment.  I am looking for a small-time investment and the entry level is £5000.  I am looking at a 15% return, and selling after 5 years making a 132% profit.  Does this sound too good to be true to anyone?

Truffles

I am looking at investing in truffles.  The company I am looking at is a science and technology company.  You can invest from £33,000 and you invest in the trees which are husbanded and grown in a sort of hydroponic environment then start producing truffles anywhere from year 3 to year 12.  You sell after 15 years to avoid the French tax system and reap not only an ROI of 545% but also that the land the trees are planted on will have gone up in value. Are there any fellow investors on this forum?

Should I invest in high fashion?

I was thinking of investing in a high end fashion piece such as a Channel handbag, but it seems that really I can't use it, and they don't actually accumulate in value unless they are completely unmarked ergo you can't use them.  However, whilst researching I found that it's acutally a really good time to invest in high fashion companies. Is anyone an investor?

Investing firms - to trust or not to trust?

My friend has just started with an investment firm.  Bascially you give them what you want, and let them invest for you, and you can add more monthly if you want.  You can get your cash out at any time and they make a plan for you based on your needs. I am not sure if this is a good idea or not, or is it just lazy investing where they take all your money.
